Cuadro de texto: OperationS
Feminist International Radio Endeavour works as a committed feminist communications media organization, which implies that we relate to all other organizations through our concept of interactive autonomy, meaning that we collaborate and participate in numerous initiatives with networks, organizations, media and other coordinated efforts, but as independent mass media.

Internally, FIRE is a production collective with co-directors and a technical administrator. It functions in a circular dynamic, in which all personnel are trained and assume all the activities of producing and disseminating media, with the exception of the co-direction and administration (which are specialized).

FIRE conducts its media work in 4 areas:

Co-direction: Operates from a feminist perspective to coordinate media production and general activities of the organization. The co-directors are in charge of monitoring the perspectives, planning, operation, and evaluation of the media work, as well as directing the personnel and managing relations with national, regional, and international networks and organizations. The co-directors are also in charge of the search for financing and global support of the media work, but they also function as engineers, producers, technical workers and trainers.

Administration: Executes the administrative tasks of virtual and in-person public relations, administers the financial resources of the infrastructure of the organization, and manages the accounts under supervision of the Co-directors. The administrator handles the general budget and also those of specific projects, and writes the annual financial reports.

Production: Consists of producing for Internet radio and developing media multiplication activities, including special coverage of events, radio transmissions, multimedia news reports, radio series, news releases and articles, radio spots, campaigns and continuous web radio programming. Personnel in this area also participate in coverage of events and work to develop FIRE’s relations with other organizations. Responsibilities also include production of presentations for conferences and multi-media exhibitions for events. Persons working in this area evaluate and plan their work under the supervision of the Co-directors.

Training: Involves planning, coordinating and developing workshops and training seminars that FIRE organizes at events world-wide or are conducted at the FIRE studio and computer laboratory. Persons responsible for this area also create training materials in their specific areas of expertise related to radio, Internet radio and new communication technologies. Also included in this area are in-house training of personnel as needed.
